A mime artist, actor, director, literary manager and educator. He began his artistic career in 1964 in the ensemble of Ladislav Fialka. After several years, he founded the Alfred Jarry Theatre (Divadlo Alfreda Jarryho) with  Ctibor Turba , which brought black humor to the pantomime stage in the production Harakiri (1968).


Together with the Gag ensemble, which he founded in 1978, he continued in the development of silent comedy film.


In 1990, he established the Gag Theatre in Prague, which operated for six seasons. He enjoyed major success in the 1980s, particularly in Holland with the trilogy Zahrada jménem Hollywood (A Garden Named Hollywood ), which was later put together in the form of a television series Gagman, for which it was awarded a Bronze Rose of Montreux. He also performed in Australia with the outstanding Russian clown Slava Polunin in his world-renowned Snowshow.


In 2000, he was awarded a higher doctorate by Prague’s Theater Faculty at the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU), and as a university instructor he dedicates himself to the training of young mime artists.
