Interest in Czech studies is certainly not fading away among foreigners or people who carry Czech blood in their veins, but who cannot speak the native language of their ancestors. Czech culture, which foreigners wish to become familiar with and also their interest in studying in our country at one of our universities play a major role in this. Czech language and literature lecturers and teachers at Czech communities abroad are under the patronage of the
CZ Ministry of Education, Youth and Physical Education. Czech language classes may have an unusual form in some cases. Apart from studying the grammar of our native tongue students are also acquainted with the unique characteristics of various areas of life of people living in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia. They also learn about the geography of our country, its history, they study the local political system, customs and traditions, they learn interesting facts about the world of art, watch Czech films, recite poetry by Czech authors or cook Czech meals.
