UNESCO monuments

The Czech lands have a rich and full history. People came here from all corners of the world to cultivate our country not only to order castles to be built and decorated, churches erected and monasteries founded, but they also influenced the overall architectural design of the country's cities. There are also six UNESCO biosphere reservations on the territory of the Czech Republic.

No fewer than 12 of these sites have already been entered in the UNESCO list of World Heritage sites:
Prague - historical center
Telč - historical center
Český Krumlov - historical center
Žďár nad Sázavou - The Pilgrimage Church of St. John of Nepomuk at Zelená Hora
Kutná Hora - historical center
The Lednice - Valtice area
Kroměříž - Archbishop´s Chateau and gardens
Holašovice - historical village reservation
Litomyšl - castle and historical center
Olomouc - Holy Trinity column
Brno - Tugendhat Villa
Třebíč - Jewish Quarter and St Procopius' Basilica

The UNESCO biosphere reservations: Třeboňsko, Pálava, Křivoklátsko, Šumava, Krkonoše, Bílé Karpaty (White Carpathians)
