Czech election 2012 – new regional governments and new faces in the Senate

The election, which took place in the Czech Republic in October 2012, brought a change in the balance of political power and resulted in victory for left-wing parties in regional governments and the Senate of the Parliament of the Czech Republic. For the first time in the history of the Czech Republic, a person who was born in Asia was elected senator, Czech-Japanese Tomio Okamura.
