Today, the Company is a prominent producer of natural cosmetic products as well as hand-made paper, aromatic essences and dry bouquets. You may also spot this brand on marmalades, teas, flavourings, spices and marinades. In the first place, the Company values the quality of the processed foodstuff, grown on ecological farms. The Company also employs ecologically friendly methods in their production procedures.
The complex of the Company was later enlarged by
Organic Gardens, an example shop and outside workshops for children, where they can discover paper and soap production or how to dye fabric works. The Company complex also includes the
Historic Village of Arts and Crafts, where visitors can try the work of a tinker, candle and soap maker or potter. There is also a medieval market and a stylish canteen with a period menu. There is an interesting programme prepared for visitors throughout the year, including historical celebrations, theatre performances and holiday celebrations.
In 2000, the Botanicus Company was visited by Prince Charles, who was taken through the production premises but was especially interested in the traditional production procedures of old crafts and the ecological cultivation of herbs, fruit and vegetables in the Botanicus gardens. He also planted two trees, an oak, which is the symbol of Great Britain, and a linden, the symbol of Czech statehood.
The Botanicus shops have customers from not only the Czech Republic, but also from Singapore, Japan, Austria, China and Russia.
