The Czech company Linet is one of five leading manufacturers of hospital beds in the world. In addition, it is considered as the world leader in the field of innovative solutions for medical and nursing care.

Linet exports its production into 93 countries worldwide. The main products are hospital and nursing beds, hospital tables, anti-decubitus systems and other medical furniture and equipment. The company was established in 1990 in X2 Želevčice u Slaného X2 (map). From the very beginning, it was highly appreciated by customers and won prizes in competitions and polls related to best company or best products. In 2010, the company won ninth place in a competition called the Most Admired Czech Company, organised by the Czech TOP 100 association. Zbyněk Frolík, the founder of the company, was ranked among the ten best entrepreneurs in the 2010 European Business Awards, in the category Prize for the International Entrepreneur of the Year. A year ago he became the Manager of the Year in the Czech Republic.

Moreover, the Linet company is also successful abroad. In January 2011, Linet products were presented at the Arab Health exhibition in Dubai (United Arabian Emirates), namely Multicare beds designed for intensive care units and Eleganza 3 beds. The latter was awarded with the Golden Incheba at the international Slovmedica 2010 professional fair.

In 2006, Linet won the Industry award for a universal hospital bed equipped with the Mobi-Lift system in the renowned Česká hlava (Czech Head) competition. In addition, Linet became the Czech Company of 2006. The founder, Zbyněk Frolík, says that the company success is achieved through close connections between theory and practice. Company representatives would visit hospitals in the Czech Republic and abroad and ask questions to the personnel and to the patients in order to identify weak points and potential for improvements. For example, they asked patients to tell them why they do not feel comfortable in the bed, and they asked nurses to specify why it was difficult for them to move the patients.
