The company Škoda Mladá Boleslav has proven its position as a worldwide company by not only penetrating the world markets, but also by the number of model series. The Frankfurt Auto Show clearly indicated what the sixth model of the portfolio should look like.
We are still talking about the MissionL concept car, but it is now very close to being a car that we will be passing on roads. The model should be available in India this year. Other countries, including China and Russia, will have to wait until 2012.
The quality, which is appreciated most with new cars, is a new idea. In this case, the layout of the front and fog lights evoke the shape of a four-leaf clover and definitely catch one's eyes. Blinkers and lights for daylight are integrated into a thin line in the lower part of the main lights. Sharp edges applied in their crystalline structure create a distinctive feature favoured by the head designer of Skoda cars. They resemble the art of Czech glass cutters. Transforming the gap between the wings and the bumper into art elements is another extraordinary feature of the car.
The main question is how we should actually classify the new model. The
Škoda Company discovered that they can make a model larger than the small
Fabia and smaller than the spacious
Octavia. Customers can anticipate more space but at the same time a more favourable prize. That was the primary mission when creating this model. However, there is more to it than just the practical aspect. The MissionL model with its straight lines and precision in detail also suggests what we can expect from future Skoda designs.
Not long after the Frankfurt Auto Show, the car company from Mladá Boleslav introduced its smallest model – the Citigo. The car, which will be on sale from the beginning of November 2011, will especially attract young drivers and families in need of a second or third car.
