The Ministry of Industry and Trade has extended the third call of the ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and Business Support Services Programme, which offers businessmen an opportunity to receive financial support for investing in the establishment or development of software, shared services centres, data centres or construction and development of service centres for high-tech products.

Within the ICT and Business Support Programme, the subsidy can reach up to CZK 1.5 billion in total. The ICT and Business Support Services Programme is focused on the development of information and knowledge companies by supporting new ICT products and services. The programme has been made available for the 2007–2013 period. It is administered by means of annually published announcements on the website of the programme’s administrator, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the CR and the CzechInvest Agency.

Registration applications for obtaining a subsidy from the ICT and Business Support Services Programme can be submitted from 1 October 2011 to 15 January 2012. Full applications will be dealt with by the CzechInvest Agency from 1 November 2011 to 21 March 2012. The subsidies are available to all business subjects, regardless their size, ranging from small to large companies. Each applicant can acquire a subsidy ranging from CZK 1.5 to 100 million, and up to CZK 150 million in selected regions. The grants differ according to the size of the enterprise and the region.
Programme conditions:
a) The project must be implemented within the territory of the Czech Republic, outside the area of the capital city of Prague.

b) The beneficiary must prove unconditional proprietary or other rights to the real estate and land estate where the project is to be realised. The method and requested date of proving these proprietary or other rights will be specified by the administrator of the programme in the particular call.

c) The project must include all compulsory parts stated in the call for proposals.
The subsidy is granted especially for the following activities:
  • design and implementation of information and communication systems
  • software development
  • shared-services centres
  • customer-support centres
  • repair centres for high-tech products and technologies

This year, it is possible to obtain financial support for investments in building data centres with added value focused on international markets. Another novelty is that European companies may also participate in the application.

Companies of any size may apply for the grant.
