The third year of the Anifilm International Festival of Animated Films will offer its visitors the current trends, procedures and technology of animated film and much more. The festival will traditionally take place in Třeboň (map) in South Bohemia from 3 to 8 May 2012.

 
 
The Anifilm International Festival of Animated Films is targeted by students, pedagogues, film theoreticians and of course all producers and film professionals, as well as fans of animated films including children. The aim of the festival is to support current projects or entirely new animated projects, their authors, producers and distributors.

The festival is divided into two sections, competitive and non-competitive. The competition section will offer spectators the International Competition of Animated Feature Films for Grown-ups and Children, the International Competition of Animated Short Films and the Czech-Slovak Student Competition of Animated Films. The non-competition section of the festival will present a projection of films from the ateliers of prominent personalities, animation studios and schools from all over the world, as well as the presentation of the biggest animated film hits. Various workshops, exhibitions, theatre performances and concerts will take place within the festival. The festival’s programme will also please computer games fans.

The festival is organised under the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs Karel Schwarzenberg, and the Ambassador of the Estonian Republic Lembit Uib, with support of the South Bohemian Region and President of the Region Jiří Zimola.
