Along with the arrival of spring comes the new racing season. The most famous Czech racecourses, Velká Chuchle and Pardubice, will again have much to offer.

The season at Velká Chuchle, the main Czech racecourse in Prague, will start on 8 April with the traditional Gomba Handicap race, which has been held since 1924. It will be closed by a race called the 93rd Prize of the President of the Czech Republic on 28 October. Meanwhile, spectators will be able to enjoy breath-taking races with Czech and foreign horses every Sunday afternoon, over twenty days in total. The dates are available here.

The gates of the Pardubice racecourse will be opened on 8 May for the first racing day. Lovers of horse races will have a chance to enjoy the racing atmosphere every Saturday until 27 October, when the season is closed by the ČASCH race. As always, one of the biggest attractions of this year will be the 122nd year of the Great Pardubice Steeplechase on 14 October. You can find more detailed information about the racecourse and the dates of the races here.
