In August 2012, 3000 of the world’s best chemists will present the results of their work at the EuCheMS congress. The European Association for Chemical and Molecular Science – EuCheMS is a non-profit organisation that associates specialists from academic, industrial and other institutions from more than 35 European countries.
Another important congress of the foremost experts, this time from all over the world, the 18th International Microscopy Congress will take place in September 2014. More than 3500 top experts from this field have been invited. When choosing the venue for this event, Prague competed with cities such as Sydney, Beijing and Istanbul yet still managed to gain more than half of the votes.

CzechTourism deserves great recognition for the promotion of the Czech Republic as a convenient place for organising these congresses and financially supported both candidatures.
