Famous events include battle re-enactments, guided nocturnal tours of historic town centres, jousting tournaments and swordplay demonstrations at castles and chateaux and various cultural events at historic sites.
X1 Rogar 2010 – Viking Betrayal X1 – a re-enactment of an early medieval battle, which takes place near Neveklov
(map). The programme includes demonstrations of historical crafts, a spear-throwing competition, an archery contest, warriors’ race and many other interesting events.
Historic battle – a demonstration of a battle from the Thirty Years War at Rajhrad
(map) with a performance by historical swordplay groups, a historical fair and camp, an exhibition of weapons, torch parade and fire show on the evening before the event.
Battle of White Mountain 1620 – a re-enactment of the decisive battle of the Thirty Years War with a varied accompanying programme, which takes place every year near the Hvězda Summer Mansion in Prague 6

Tábor Gathering at Tábor (map) – a medieval festival offering a historical marketplace and fair, historical swordplay demonstrations and a pageant through the town.
Queen Elizabeth’s Celebrations – a medieval fair with accompanying programme in Hradec Králové
(map). You will be able to see fights between gladiators, contests in historical swordplay, magic shows, jousting and performances with horses.
