You can taste up to 70 brands of Czech beer draught in glass jugs. The most renowned beer festival in the Czech Republic takes place at the Prague Exhibition Centre, PVA Letňany
(map).
The Czech Beer Festival offers 10 thousand seats in three large pavilions as well as one beer professional pavilion. Each pavilion has a stage and a cultural programme. Waiters will be wearing traditional national costumes.
Admission is free. Visitors will pay for drinks and meals with special festival money – beer talers. You can change your money into talers in the festival premises. The exchange rate is 1 taler = CZK 45, sold in packs of five talers. A half-litre jug of beer, any brand, costs one taler.
This year, the Czech Beer Festival will offer the largest beer tent that has ever been built in the Czech Republic. It will cover an area of 40x100 m and its size and capacity compares to the biggest tents of the Munich Oktoberfest.
From 25–27 May, the World Meeting of Compatriots will take place within the Czech Beer Festival 2012.
